VIETNAM VISAS WAIVER PROGRAM EXTENDED FOR 1 YEAR

Vietnam has issued resolution 56 dated June 30 which confirms the extension of its visa waiver program for five European countries for an additional one year.
NEW DECREE 11/2016/ND-CP IMPLEMENTING THE LABOR CODE RELATED TO FOREIGN NATIONALS WORKING IN VIETNAM

The new Decree 11/2016/ND-CP, issued by MOLISA on February 3, 2016, details the implementation of articles of the labor code on the management of foreign nationals working in Vietnam. This new decree includes the basic implementation guidelines on issuance of Work Permit and on deportation of foreign nationals working in Vietnam without work permit.

The Government of Vietnam agrees to adjust conditions for some categories of foreign experts and specialists working in Vietnam. The Government also proposed amendments to Decree No. 102/2013/NĐ-CP (dated September 5th, 2013) which provides details on the implementation of a number of Articles of the Labor Code in regard to foreign employees working in Vietnam.

New Guidance Circular #3 on Decree 102/2013/ND-CP Related to Foreign Nationals Working in Vietnam

As you may know, MOLISA issued Decree 102/2013/ND-CP on September 6, 2013 (effective November 1, 2013). This Decree detailed new provisions in the labor code for the management of foreign nationals working in Vietnam. After nearly 4 months of delays and confusion, the Guidance Circular that provides clarity for the correct implementation of Decree 102 was finally issued on February 24.
